Qenos is the cornerstone of Australia's plastics industry. Our products are a part of every day life. By manufacturing the raw materials used in thousands of household, consumer and industrial products, Qenos provides the building blocks for the future.
At Qenos we use Australian oil and gas feedstocks from Bass Strait and the Moomba Basin. We employ approximately 800 people. Our plants in Sydney and Melbourne produce a full range of polyethylene products (HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE). We also supply a diverse range of specialty polymers. That makes Qenos a vital link in the Australian manufacturing chain, supplying industries that employ hundreds of thousands of people.
Qenos is a subsidiary of China National Bluestar (Group) Co. Ltd. (China Bluestar) a joint venture between China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina) and The Blackstone Group.
ChemChina is a large-scale State owned enterprise established by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. ChemChina is one of the leading specialty chemical and petrochemical companies in China with its headquarters in Beijing.
China Bluestar is a specialised subsidiary of ChemChina also based in Beijing, China and focuses on chemical products and new materials.
The Blackstone Group is a leading global alternative asset manager and provider of financial advisory services listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
