To achieve our business goals and objectives and to remain competitive in the marketplace, Qenos seeks individuals who are willing to make the most of their abilities and careers, and we value graduates who can demonstrate real initiative, analytical thinking and adaptability.
The ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership skills, along with a willingness to learn and accept responsibility is also sought. We look for well-rounded graduates who have demonstrated achievements and involvement in extra-curricular activities such as sport, community activities, part-time employment and previous vacation employment.
At Qenos, our Graduate roles are designed so that you have the opportunity not only to learn and develop but to contribute to the company's objectives almost immediately. To broaden your experience you are also given the opportunity to participate in company activities outside your department including graduate recruitment, support for shutdowns, committee memberships and company representation. Our aim is to provide you with a diverse work background, so that you have a number of career options available.
Graduate Induction
For graduates, training commences with a comprehensive induction program which introduces you to key areas of the business, both technical and non-technical. The program begins with a broad overview of the company with presentations during the first weeks of employment, followed by five months of bi-weekly sessions providing more detailed information to help you understand Qenos and the industry.
A mentor is assigned to each new graduate to assist you in settling into the company and your new role. Your mentor is generally a recent graduate working in the same department who has a good understanding of the work area and is available to answer many of those new job questions.
People Development
Qenos has a people development system which sees individuals rewarded and promoted on their performance and ability. Employees are expected to take an active role in communicating their development needs and professional aspirations through the People Development Program.
Typically, graduates are encouraged to move to a different position after two years, to broaden your experience with the company, and to provide a great deal of input into the selection of your new position.
People development and personal growth is seen as a continuing process for all employees. |
